Wood Flower

No Wood Flower show is complete without captivating vocals, tight harmonies, blazing duel Tony Rice inspired guitar leads, driving Scruggs style banjo, rousing bass solos and soulful mandolin lines, all topped off by fun and spontaneous banter!

Formed in the summer of 2022 in Southeast Pennsylvania between a guitar teacher and his former student from a decade earlier, Wood Flower set out to strongly honor traditional bluegrass music while incorporating both original compositions and modern elements into their own unique sound.

Wes Johnson - Guitar and Vocals

Gabe Delp - Guitar and Vocals

  • Midnight North takes its cue from the fertile Bay Area music scene. Formed in early 2012 by singer/songwriters Grahame Lesh and Elliott Peck, whose harmonies came as naturally as the initial songs, along with bassist Connor O’Sullivan. The band’s current-day lineup was completed when drummer/banjo player Nathan Graham came aboard after a chance meeting at a benefit concert in Philadelphia in 2016 following the release of its third, and breakthrough, album, Under the Lights, in 2017. In the early days, the group was able to grow as a unit thanks to an association with Lesh’s family venue, Terrapin Crossroads in San Rafael, California.

  • Wood Flower is a bluegrass band based out of three neighboring counties in Southeastern Pennsylvania. Formed in the summer of 2022 between former guitar student (Wes Johnson) and his teacher from nearly a decade before (Josh Scuerman), Wood Flower set out to strongly honor traditional bluegrass music while incorporating original music and their own progressive elements. They invited Reading PA native, and long time friend of Josh's, Michael Beaky to pick the five string, Wes's high school buddy Gabe Delp on guitar, and after Steve Havrilla heard Wes picking fiddle tunes at a venue in Pottstown PA, he joined the outfit as well on Mandolin. Musical influences include Tony Rice. Lots of Tony Rice... Billy Strings, The Bluegrass Album Band, J.D Crowe, Earl Scruggs, and Bill Monroe.

Wood Flower plays a benefit concert organized by Peter Wroblewski for his good friend Ann (they go all the way back to elementary school) who recently had her house robbed. Music will be both in the cellar bar as well as upstairs featuring a brilliant line up of musicians who have agreed to play in support of Ann. It promises to be an amazing day of interactive music and fun, all for a good cause!

Visit Go Fund Me, (https://gofund.me/af2553c5) for more information. Raffles and auctions will take place at the event as well to help raise money for Ann.
